5 Hacks to Cure and Prevent a Hangover
Guys. I think I figured out how to not get a hangover! I don’t know what happened, but lately if I have even 2 glasses of wine I feel so BLAH the next day. (26 going on 46) I found these “hangover patches” on Revolve and thought why not give them a try. I brought them to Tahoe a few weekends ago and after four days and nights filled with cocktails, lots of Après, and long wine filled dinners I did not feel the slightest bit hungover. I even had my friend Hayley try them and she felt just as good! The patch works by replenishing the vital levels of vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants that you lose when consuming alcohol. Each patch contains 1000 mcgs of vitamin B12 and other B vitamins.
For days when the miracle hangover patch isn’t available and you wake up with that, “I’m never drinking again” feeling here are some tricks and tips I have found that help me feel a whole lot better.
Peter Thomas Roth - Cucumber De-Tox Hydra-Gel Eye Patches
My absolute favorite under eye treatment. I keep these patches in the fridge and they are oh so soothing. I previously wrote about them here, but to recap they are super nourishing, hydrating and truly de-puff the skin. Unlike most other eye patches these stay put and don’t slide down your face.
I won’t stop talking about this thing until everyone has one. Alcohol can do terrible things to skin and can make you feel swollen, puffy, and dull. This ice roller is a miracle product and helps deal with all of those symptoms and feels so soothing and calming on hungover dehydrated skin. Not hungover? This roller saved me when I got my wisdom teeth out and reduced swelling and helped with soreness it is also great for headaches.
Jet Lag skin is pretty similar to hangover skin and the main reason for that is dehydration. This mask is packed full of vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory ingredients. It is super hydrating, but lightweight and qualifies as Clean at Sephora!
WATER.
DUH, but seriously hydrate hydrate hydrate. Pure h2o can do wonders, but I love to add a little boost like the Beauty + Detox concentrates from Sakara. The Beauty drops have Silica for hydration, rose helps with inflammation and 72 trace minerals missing from water. The Detox drops have magnesium which is great for digestion and chlorophyll which detoxes and oxygenated the body.
What are some of your favorite hangover hacks? I would love to hear!
xx
